Moving Bed Bioreactor (MBBR) is an efficient treatment system that employs biofilm carriers suspended in the aeration tank. These carriers provide a large surface area for microorganisms to grow and thrive, enhancing the biological degradation of contaminants. The MBBR system is highly effective for treating wastewater types including those from food processing, petrochemicals, and textile industries.

Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) treatment is an advanced wastewater treatment process that integrates biological treatment with membrane filtration. It combines a conventional activated sludge (CAS) process with a membrane separation unit, either microfiltration (MF) or ultrafiltration (UF), to produce high-quality effluent suitable for reuse or discharge. It is suitable for less intensive effluents and municipal wastewater.

Pollution Shock Loads

ECOT® effectively treats recalcitrant organic effluents with high COD levels and adapts seamlessly to any shockloads with minor tuning of current potentials.

Smaller Civil Footprint

The rapid action of the electro-catalyst has shorter treatment durations that require lesser Hydraulic Retention Times (HRT). This allows the use of smaller aeration tanks and also minimizes air blower operation.

Improved RO
Performance

RO operates without chemical scaling or fouling, achieving high recovery of 90-92% with a guaranteed membrane lifespan of at least two years.

Evaporator Efficiency

The pre-treatment of high-strength mother liquor effluent significantly improves the evaporator’s steam efficiency, reducing its operating costs and maintenance routines. Low-COD condensate is guaranteed while the quality of salt crystallized by the dryer is enhanced.

Lower Sludge Generation

ECOT® treatment generates lower sludge volumes (0.30–0.35 kg/KL) with no secondary sludge from chemical precipitation or biomass. This simplifies solid waste management and its associated costs.

Quick Startup Period

Treatment can be quickly estabilished and optimised during initial start-up or after a system shutdown.
